Rotations are swell; this is my last week in pediatrics (and I'm pretty sure I never have to do that again-- though I do like the kids better than I thought I would, I have been so sick this whole month and can't wait not to have to spend 12 hours a day making children scream and cry. Really, it's going to be awesome to not have to hold my patients down to look into their ears, noses, and throats and for them to be able to give me accurate histories of their illnesses. And while it's fun taking medical histories completely in Spanish, explaining medical things in non-medical terminology is hard enough without my added dearth of Spanish medical vocabulary, anxious parents, and rambunctious kids). But, oh my, do I love surgery.
