Finally, after months of waiting for a contract that never surfaced, as of July 21, I will be a full-time employee at Loblaws, filling the position of bilingual editor/translator. Woohoo!

Well, I finally (a year later) heard back from an agent I really liked about my science fiction story and he turned it down. No one wants to touch it with a 10-foot pole - at least the first 3 chapters. So for now, this one is getting shelved. On the job front, I had an interview yesterday afternoon. While they don't pay as much as I'd like, I just love the type of work and the environment. I hope they liked me - we'll see if they proceed to the next step with me, which apparently is asking for references.
