What is this outrage?! I, Wagner, held captive? Chained, in a human dwelling?! This cannot be my fate! I will not allow it!

[There is a dragon roughly the size of a large dog tied up in the yard of 1763 Beaver Street. He seems to be unhappy with his current situation, given that he's attempting to chew himself free with absolutely no success and a ( Read more... )

[Thor's hammer, he hasn't seen one of these things since his younger days. Don't mind the stubborn nation crouching down a safe distance away to observe. S-Such a iddy biddy dragon!]

[What is this massive hulking beast. Wagner is severely unnerved, but not about to show it. Cower before his adorable widdle ferocious glare, mortal.]

You are no human.

[I-It's so cute. He just wants to reach out and pet him behind the horns but dragons breath fire. Fire hurts.]

I'm a nation.

[That answers nothing. Wagner continues on with his base state of being very angry.]

What?

[Dragon, what. It's been a while since Margot's seen one and her reaction is about the same as Norway's -- stand away at a safe distance and gape.]

[Wagner eyeballs her suspiciously. He is not comfortable with being on this side of the looming.]

What manner of creature are you?

A weaver.

[She bites her lip, feeling pity. Dragons are generally vicious, lying creatures where she's from, but seeing one tied up like this gets to her.]

If you promise not to do anything, I can at least untie you.

[That's one vague promise. Were Wagner the type to ask for clarification, he would probably do that and not laugh in her face.]

I think not. 'Tis far too great an oath to swear for the sake of a passing inconvenience.

[There's something disarming about a familiar face, even if it is about twenty times larger than expected which has very disturbing implications.]

It is indeed I, Cornelius.

I never expected to see you of all people arrive here.

I'm sure you've noticed by now, but you are quite... smaller, than I remembered.

'Tis not even the worst of it.

...I do not wish to speak of the torments of this vile curse any further. Tell me, what do you know of this place?

[Lance is just passing by on his usual stalkings amblings through Mayfield, but this is new. And he splutters angrily.]

A dr--how dare they!

[He strides up to Wagner, but stops a foot or so away and kneels, holding up his hand. His voice, when he talks, is surprisingly gentle, although still commanding.]

Stop flailing; I can't untie you like that.

[Wagner does not appreciate being ordered around, but he appreciates that damned collar a good sight less. He snarls under his breath, but stops the frenzy.]

[The sight of a dragon still being wary around him is incredibly strange to Lance. Actually, he feels a little hurt by it, before having to remind himself that this, after all, is not home and the people who brought him here would pay. Still, he closes the final distance and makes short work of the collar and lead, flinging them to the other side of yard in a fit of anger before turning back to Wagner.]

Have they hurt you?

[It's one hell of a relief to have that thing off, but why phrase it like that when he can complain?]

This blow to my pride wounds me far more than could any blade.

Quite an amazing sight. Never did I think I would encounter a real dragon.

You have made an error; though I may seem human, I was not before my arrival.
