Happy Birthday to fencerm2!

It's been a while.  I haven't updated.  I've been gone for a month to Croatia to help out my Grandmother.  She went through double bypass at the age of 80.  To make matters worse for her, she also developed diabetes.  The hardest part of helping her is knowing she does not want our help.  She's been doing things her way so long, she doesn't know ( Read more... )

I finally saw the MRI results for my left ankle.  There are some bruises and a white spot that means where the swelling is.  It looks pretty small.  Still hurts like hell, but at least the swelling is getting little.  But, the MRI results for my left knee didn't come out at all.  To quote my new Orthopedic:  "Crap.  All crap.  All of it.  Crap."  I ( Read more... )

Went for a tooth extraction yesterday.  I was too little to remember the last time I pulled out my tooth, so this experience was brand new to me once again.  The oral person put me under, but only half way.  I was conscious throughout the entire procedure.  But, it went so fast, I didn't have time to register.  One moment they were in my mouth, the ( Read more... )

 I had gone to the Dentist today for a root canal.  My insurance didn't cover for the procedure.  I had to pull the money out of my own pocket.  Needless to say it was a very deep hole in my back tooth.  And, I like how they say how much work they will do according to how much money you will pay.  They didn't finish the work because I didn't have ( Read more... )

 Back from the Orthopedic.  Gave them my progress report on my ankle sprain.  Was told to continue to take my meds, and come back and see them 8 weeks from now.  Two more months of staying home.  Sigh.  Next Monday I see another doc about my knee to add that to my continuing physcal therapy.  Then at the end of April I see some other doc from my ( Read more... )

 March rolled in.  I'm so glad it's finally Spring, and getting warmer.  Although, not fully warm as late Spring, but warm enough.  I've missed the entire Winter now.  Looks like even Spring will find me still home.  I go to the Orthopedic next Friday.  Give him my progress report, and prob will be ordered to stay home again.  My foot still hurts ( Read more... )

 I have no life outside these four walls.  At least for the time being.  Still healing my injured foot.  Getting better, though.  I can now put some weight on it.  But, the healing is still slow.  And, I'm bored as all hell.
