I was dauntingly forced by the heavy droning of my alarm at just after 7 this morning in order to arrive bright-eyed to my Health class by 8 - it was lovely. Myers Park kids, believe it or not, my days are picking up speed ever so slightly. Today I found myself pushed for time on more than one occassion, which is a novel thing up here at NCSA...I also talked to an oboe-ist who has been here four years and said it tends to get quite intense once all the music classes get started. Since I ONLY take TWO academic classes this year I have a lot of free time. I think they purposely do this at art school in a discreet attempt to force you into those rancid practice rooms on the first floor of the gray building. So yesterday I moved into 226 Sanford at the North Carolina School of the Arts. I'm leaving for school tomorrow and I couldn't be more ready. True, it'll be tortorous to be without my friends while i'm away, but after this summer I can't wait to relive an experience even close to the one i had. Tomorrow's move in/check in/unpack stuff day, and I don't begin classes (or lack thereof) until next week, which is much appreciated. ( Read more... )
