As a random stranger who has recently graduated from college, I want to tell you that your vow is very noble, can take you far in life, and is a challenge to maintain.

It is also never too late to turn your academic path around. It may seem that high school is the most important point in your life, but the accomplishments made or not made there only matter if you continue the pattern after you've received the diploma. To make good on your vow, you may have to learn new patterns and new tricks, but that work will open new paths in your life.

And if the finances don't work out, community college is a viable starting point. It is cheap and it is usually fairly easy to transfer in to a bigger school. And do what I was always too lazy to do, apply to scholarships and grants, there is a lot of money out there for those that look.

Well, sorry for leaving a lecture, I just find this a hot button issue. Best of luck on whatever path you choose for yourself!

You are very welcome, and I again wish you luck, and want to leave one last bit of advice, don't forget to have fun too!!
I have a 3.93 graduating GPA, with a double major, and my only regret was not occasionally lifting my head out of the books to have some real good fun.
