This was adorable. Wonderfully written, with some great moments of humor. I was cheering them both on! Well done.

Aw, thank you! I'm glad you were rooting for both of them! And I can't not try to write some humor and snark with these two, so good to know you found it successful in that regard as well. :D

A lovely, gently-building story. For some reason, the line

now Potter and Weasley are out seeking glory elsewhere

really stood out -- Draco still has an inferiority complex!

I loved the origins of Santa Claus, too :-)

I'm very glad to hear the pacing worked for you; I was a little concerned about it.

And yes, Draco's never quite going to let go of his rivalry with Harry, especially, is he? And maybe he's just a little jealous that he and Ron are Hermione's best mates? ;)

I had fun making up the flying reindeer thing; thanks! :D

Go Draco! Hee hee. Maybe Draco's like the Grinch, but instead of his capacity to love growing, it's his courage?

Playing with flying reindeer and mythology was fun; thanks! :D

I have thoroughly enjoyed this one. Draco was so refreshing and well, nice :-) and Hermione was such a darling, finding her way without Harry and Ron.

Mentioning Regulus and Sirius to Draco was awwwww...

“No wonder Potter and Weasley think they’re so grand. You give speeches like this to all the blokes?”

Great story!

Thank you! I just thought, post-DH, they would both be trying to find their way. Or, well, Draco's trying very hard to be a grown-up, and I think Hermione is enjoying some time on her own.

Thanks for pointing out some details you liked! :D
