What is it about electric blankets that always get me thinking of voreish thoughts in the mornings.. no wonder I keep sleeping late on vacation here.

For the first time in a very long time, I actually went out on a drive just to go look at the fall foliage. It's something I haven't done in a long long time, I grew up with this so I got used to it.. but I had forgotten just how intense all the colors up here can get in the fall. Still off on vacation, everyone was at work today so I kept busy by doing some geocaching (well, and sleeping late), trying to find a cache my parents hid near by.. wound up in a part of town that I had never even seen before.. had to crawl over a beaver dam to get where I was going, but it was still fun... Swapping an alternator in my old car was easier than I remember it being, had it done in less than an hour... and it started up with no problems, didn't even let out any smoke.. well.. no more than normal, anyhow. Now to see how much longer it lasts as a commuter car...

Eef.. money's always such a stressful thing to worry about, especially when having others sharing resources and responsibilities..
