Oh, and a couple of people got married this month too, on about 17 years ago, so that's fun as well.

I know most of you who read me also read my wife's LJ, so you already know this, but I made it home. I am already too busy at work, and things look like they'll just be getting busier and busier, but I am very glad to be home. I have a flight out! After finally getting through to Continental's 1-800 number, I was put on hold for just a hair over 3 hours. That was actually shorter than I thought it would be, as when I was put on hold I thought they initially estimated 5 hours ( Read more... )

As many of you are aware, I am having to extend my visit to the Garden State a bit longer than anticipated. In other words, my flight out of Newark was canceled due to weather, and now I have to stay until I can get a new flight out ( Read more... )

Winter storm hit last night and today. Already some flights have been canceled, but so far my flight is reading as On Time. Wish me luck.

Oh, and once I know more I will of course keep my lovely wife informed by cell phone, but since my flight isn't scheduled to leave until almost 6:00 tonight, it may be a while before I actually know more.

So far the trip and training have been pretty good. The schedule has not been very demanding, and we end up taking breaks a lot. We start around 9:00, break for 15 minutes around 10:30, break for an hour lunch at 12:30, break for another 15 minutes at 3, and then we're done by 4:45. So here I am in beautiful, scenic Mahwah, NJ. Eh - whatever. I'm vehicularly challenged all week, so mostly I expect I'll eat breakfast at the hotel, attend the training from 9 - 5, eat dinner at the hotel, or maybe someplace within walking distance, though I don't see much in that regard, and then read/surf/watch TV until bedtime.
