As of this morning, I am 100% debt free. It's looking like Tom and I are going to hold off on buying a house for now, so I decided to dip into my savings and just blow the remainder of my student loans away. Back on the mainland and at work again within 12 hours. Fuck jetlag. What adventures did I go on? We'll just have to wait and see.

So I got back from The Netherlands on Sunday. The linguistic conference was a HUGE success! Even though we were working from very unpopular theories, our project was very well received, and the people we spoke with were generally convinced that we were on the trail of something valuable.
