It WAS a fucking blast. Probably the highlight of my summer, though Priest were amazingly even better when we saw them in Toronto a few weeks ago.

If you really want to see what it looks like, Lamb of God are playing a show in Worcester on Oct 15th with Fear Factory, Children of Bodom and (uguughhh!) Throwdown. I'm looking forward to it, even though FF and Throwdown don't really rub me right.

Hmm, I'll look into that. I haven't heard any of the bands, but based on the reviews of Lamb of God and Children of Bodom that I read in "Metal Maniacs," they sound pretty cool.

I think you'd like Bodom a good deal, the others might be a stretch. Lamb of God are good and heavy and makes for a brutal (fun to watch ;P) mosh but it's all very testosterone fueled....Fear Factory made a name for themselves playing industrial death metal in the 90s, and they had a comeback CD last year but I haven't heard it so I can't really say.

Bodom are a melodic death/speed metal group from Finland, lots of shredding (both guitar and, ugh, keyboard) and goofy lyrics, they've all got long blonde hair and the singer wears eyeliner...and so on :P.
Throwdown are just a shitty tough guy straight edge hardcore band.
