on second thought....many apologies.... i sounded like a total elitist asshole. afterall, i love x-men AND am a member of comicartist. i also get the occasional break-out as well :(
of course, yo! and is this michael moore the same as that one illustration book you have? with the chigo-tranny boys being tied up and bleeding under the full moon and falling sakura blossoms?! that rocked my socks off!!
Sorry, that should be MOORECOCK not, Moore. I think? I'm getting confused with the not so sexy director!
It's a different guy. The cherry blossom dude is Yamato Takato! Your work also reminds me a lot of Tsubaki Anna who was the original inspiration for a lot of Mono No Aware.
drama boy drew all this? if so, i'm totally impressed and more infatuated/intrigued by you :) were you ever trained in the the arts or just melodramatic acting?
art was my first passion. many shy, isolated hours of childhood spent lost in the realms of imagination -- drawing was the first way i brought those vast kingdoms of beasts and heroes to life, then naturally it led to actually *becoming* them on stage.
thank you... a lot of the meaning only comes through if you understand the japanese title. "haiyu" literally means "actor," but is actually a gender-neutral term. in this series of drawings (and with the others not yet posted) i *tried* to represent each of the "identities" within the LGBTQQIA sexual-identity persespective. that's very hard because i am solidly gay-male identified. but, i did my best in attempting to represent something that i do not fully understand myself. so therefore, the last one is supposed to be ambiguous, a kabuki actor that is neither male nor female, straight nor gay. "performer" was the only word that captured that mysteriously beautiful and fluid essence....

"Temptation" reminds me of the girls you see around at Gion Festival- if only they were getting it on with each other!
