I'm sorry that it's so hot in there! Sheesh...it's like 70 degrees outside. I guess most people don't like the air on 68 when they sleep like we do :)

Dinner sounds nice. Now I am hankering for a steak. Thanks!

I love and miss you.

Only 6 more days!

Yeah, I'd have been fine if I could have opened a window. At some point it cooled down enough that I needed a sheet thrown over me. Now... hot again.

I would gladly trade places with you sir! I love riding the rails especially when there is a sleeper car involved. The motion and sounds experienced as a train moves through the night is one of my favorite ways to sleep. However, one more thing I know first hand about long train trips... With each passing hour the on-board funk grows. Good luck and safe travels!

You leave the Pennsylvania Station 'bout a quarter to four
Read a magazine and then you're in Baltimore
Dinner in the diner
Nothing could be finer
Than to have your ham an' eggs in Carolina

Yeah, I keep hearing about how the train just rocks people to sleep. Me? Not so much. I got jostled awake far more than I got rocked to sleep.

I think my problem is that of the inverse pendulum - small motion at the bottom of the train = big motion on top. I think I'll try sleeping in the bottom half of the sleeper tonight.

And yes, I'm already beginning to detect the train funk.

In Europe we traveled by rail a lot. Sitting in a train always aroused me.

If nothing else, I'm thankful that you're a captive audience so to speak - with nothing more to pass your miserable existence on that train besides lj.

I'll take what I can get.
