Traveling by train has always seemed somewhat exotic to me - I guess because I've never traveled that way? It would be an adventure. :)

It's actually pretty cool. It takes a while to get where you're going, but its pretty relaxing and you can get a lot of reading done, watch movies and, if you're lucky (and I am) surf the web as the cellular data system allows.

I recommend it if you're not in a hurry to get there.

The train I took from Dallas to Chicago actually originated in LA.

Oh wow! Whenever I make to Europe, I hope to do traveling by train. Or maybe in Alaska. It sounds relaxing. :)
