This little movie is the first I've done. The wind was blowing at about 35-40 mph and I was concentrating so much on trying to keep the phone steady that I didn't notice my right forefinger getting into the upper right corner. It will improve. I'm just learning editing of movies--a totally new experience for me.

We’re getting our feet back under us. We have a new truck, since our other one was declared “totaled” by the insurance company due to electrical abnornalities found on top of the body damage. We’re still in Portland but will be heading back to Texas once we receive the final shipment of stuff salvaged from our trailer. We have been shopping for a ( Read more... )

Unfortunately, for those of you who don't know, we are in a state of uncertainty. We had a double tire blowout while traveling through Tennessee and it destroyed our trailer while doing considerable damage to our truck. We're hunkering down for a day to let the storms pass through. Of course it's delaying us one more time in getting back to DFW but "What's time to a pig?". It's beautiful here with the leaves changing and the mini mountains as a palate to paint them on. Kathy's mom passed about a week ago so we're back for the memorial services tomorrow. We're, thus, about 10-11 days behind schedule in getting back to Dallas.

We're so glad we had time with her before we left here a couple of weeks ago. She was completely alert and feeling pretty good up until just a couple of days prior to passing. Fortunately ( Read more... )

Learning a new lifestyle has to be good for maintaining cognitive abilities but it can be a bit disconcerting at times.

We’re staying just ahead of the weather the past couple of days. We left Hilton Head on Tuesday morning due to the hurricane.
