I've watched this clip many times already (and will probably rewatch it many times) and even bought a DVD of 'Great Pas De Deux" that features both Nureyev and Dowell because I want to see more of them. And I don't even consider myself a big fan of classical balet. Well, not yet, anyway.:-)
I was just so pleased with the beautiful, graceful slash.
Oh yes, that was the reason why I made and posted the clip in the first place. After rewatching it several times, I began to pay closer attention to their movements, how perfectly in sync they are and everything. And while I knew Nureyev (at least by name) I didn't know that Anthony Dowell was an international top ballet dancer in his own right. And when I get curious about something, or intrigued with something I want to know more.:-)
Balm to a burdened soul.
I'm very glad I decided to share this lovely performance in my LJ.:-)
