In response to 'Chick flicks'

I respect people who don't like chick flicks, because I realize that everyone's tastes in things are different. Tara likes vampire books and I like romance books. But In response to those who hate chick flicks because of their messages that they send to women, I say to you that the problem isn't with the message, the problem is on the receiving end ( Read more... )

I agree. I like chick flicks...throw in a vampire or two and it's even better.

I agree. It all depends on the person and their tastes. Alot of Shakespeare's comedies are essentially "chick flicks". They're just set in a different era and are written in a slightly different form of English. They are easily transformed into modern day versions ("10 Things I Hate About You", "She's The Man", etc.). Chick flicks are really what you make them out to be. I personally enjoy some CF's (like the Miss Congeniality movies, pretty much anything Drew Barrymore and some musicals like Mamma Mia! and The Sound Of Music to name a few *ahem*). They're good and entertaining.
Plus, the A&E version of "Pride and Prejudice" is to die for! Colin Firth makes a HOT Mr. Darcy. ;)
