A lot of reviews say it's fluff--all surface, and no emotional depth, but I completely disagree. I think that there's a poetic quality to the book that film just can't capture. Maybe I' ( Read more... )

I'd like one of these photos, places however most conveniently they can be. I'd rather only one large photo be used [as opposed to replicating the photo a million times all over the background], with entries placed accordingly. If the photo is at the top, the entries could be below, if the photo is to the side, the entries to the other, and so forth. Honestly, I know next to nothing about layouts...so whatever you would think best, I would really love.

Being such a HUGE fan of true geisha, all I can say is: the book/movie are good entertainment, but are not accurate descriptions of a true geisha's life, now or in the days of yesteryear.

That said, HOT ASIANS OMG. =X

I'm actually going to pick up this autobiography I saw at Barnes and Noble this evening by a real geisha, to find out for myself. ^^ I'm excited...

If it's by Mineko, it's a really great biography, and if you have an interest in geisha in general, try looking up Liz Dalby's "Geisha".

Yeah, it's Mineko. Remember--we bought it on the same day...^^ I'll have to look up the other one, too, though.

Er...vaguely? Before TB went and kicked the can, I hadn't been very active anyhow. So I don't remember many people by their user names, unfortch. I guess I'm going all right, though! ^^ Just working a lot, and enjoying the summer. How bout you?
