Wow. Memoirs was undeniably beautiful. I was captivated nearly the entire movie--I'm really glad I went alone, because it allowed me to be completely immersed. A lot of reviews say it's fluff--all surface, and no emotional depth, but I completely disagree. I think that there's a poetic quality to the book that film just can't capture.
