My mom had her hip replaced today. So, today's been a nerve racking day. She is at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital and is still in the recovery phase. She probably won't be out for at least another hour or two. I've been waiting by the phone all day for updates from my dad and grammy. Shelle went through the same thing recently. Her Mom had hip problems for a while before getting surgery last year. But after the surgery, her Mom was feeling so much better. It was one of those "Why didn't I do this years ago?" things. My guess: she'll be happier, so you should be, too. :)

Thanks! I'm hoping that this will be the same scenario. It helps to hear that everyone who has had this seems to say 'why didn't i do this sooner?!' I'll have to tell her when we visit tomorrow. Thanks again!

My mom will likely go through knee replacement within the next few years, and it's probably in line for me too someday. I hope your Mom bounces back with full energy and health soon! Please keep us updated on her progress. *HUGS*

We're wishing her a happy and successful recovery. She's such a great lady, your mom! I've noticed that one of the big factors, probably the biggest, is the mindset a person has in the recovery stage. If they are surrounded with people that love and support them and they have a good attitude, it does wonders.

She has a great family surrounding and supporting her, keep remembering that. *Big Hugs*

Thanks dear! We're going to go see her tomorrow, so I'm hoping to bring positive energy and support. She had a rough day today, but learned that morphine can help! ;-) Hopefully tomorrow will be even better!
