You know, you can always go into the characters tactics and change Fenris's aggression levels so he doesn't just go berserk on everything that moves.
Playing as a mage right? Given the storyline playing that class just feels more right to me than any of the other classes. They did a good job balancing them out so that each class has its ups and downs, but I'm a sucker for the plot and the drama.
Did you beat the game yet, or still working through it?
I'm ALMOST at the end...just went against Orsino. And shockingly managed to beat him. *And no sweeping kiss from Fenris either, the brat. I SHALL CORRECT THIS IN MY NEXT PLAYTHROUGH.*
Yus, playing as mage. REALLY fun. AND I did figure out how to adjust everyone's aggression level, yes. I had to fiddle around with it in the Abandoned Thaig mission, due to my buddies Varric, Anders, and Fenris being all "GRAAHH attack!!" and me going "YOU'RE FUCKING SPAWNING THE BOSSES TOO FAST, there's fifty BILLION enemies in this tight room now!!" >.> Same time I figured out the "HOLD POSITION" button, so that I ran my characters one at a time back into the hallway so that we could choke the enemies all together as one unit. *EXHAUSTING sequence of battles and not so much fun screaming/cussing on my part*
<.< About as entertaining as the whole High Dragon stage. "Of COURSE the fucking fire bomb FOLLOWS me as I run to the side, like some demented heat seeking fire missle AND I'M GOING TO MURDER YOUR LITTLE DRAGON SPAWN NOW as they try to swarm me!!"
LOL I love playing as a Mage and then romancing Fenris JUST FOR THE SPITE! Because clearly what Hawke's situation needs is a tragic, dysfunctional romance. Clearly...
When Orsino turned himself into the Harbringer I screamed like a child! First because I TRUSTED HIM! T_T and secondly because I played the "Golems of Amgarrak" DLC and that thing beat me like a red headed step child! Really, after doing that, Meredith was almost easy by comparison. For me anyway...

<.< Carver went all Templar on me. I was TEMPTED to go "Don't brother me!" option, but decided, BAH, NOT WORTH IT. XD And was fairly diplomatic/civil with him.
OAO Gah I HOPE the Meredith mission is fairly okay....I'm on casual mode, but have been having my behind handed to me.
<.< I HOPE in my next playthrough, I can keep the weapons/staffs that I've collected...They are such awesomeness. <3
