oh how exciting! it was great to see those pictures - a lot of them are very similar to pictures i took while there this time last summer! i am glad to see that it seems you are enjoying yourself!
paris is fun. you're fun. i like paris. i like you.
thanks for the "happy bastille day." i'm so glad you're aware. tonight, i danced in the streets at the place de la bastille. tomorrow, i'm waking up early to try to catch a glimpse of president jacques chirac in the bastille day parade. wahoo.
Michel: Bonjour. Jean-Paul: Bonjour mon ami. Michel: Comment ca va? Jean-Paul: Bien, et tú? Michel: Bien. Jean-Paul: Ah! Je suis le président du Burundi. Michel: Ah! La souris est sous la table et le singe est sur la branche.
That is everything I know about French. Grade school foreign language education is useless. As is most of the high school variety. Three years of both French and Spanish and that's all I can do... and I don't know how to make the keyboard do the French "c" with the 5 underneath that sounds like an "s." That last sentence makes me sound like a complete idiot instead of someone robbed of a proper education in Franc5ais.
France looks amazing. I'll wager much of Europe looks the same way. Had I been given the right opportunities, I could've been a very international sort of fellow. Enjoy the remainder of your time abroad.
