Where did you get your hoop? Did you make your own? Are they padded?
The first one I made (the one in the photos) is 160-psi 3/4" tubing, and I really banged myself up with it before I wrapped it with insulation foam. Makes it bulkier, but I have less bruises and it's easier to work with. Man, I split open my lip a few times before I padded it. My knees were black and blue, too, from the knee hooping.
You know, some of those first photos reminded me of that sequence from Ender's Game, at the end where Ender finds what the buggers have left him on that planet. I suspect you've read it, so you probably know which part I'm talking about. If you have not read it, I suggest you do.
I've never been to Enchanted Forest either. We'll be heading southwards for camping in August for a week, so perhaps we'll visit on the way.
Never Never Land is quite small -- the pictures caught nearly all of it -- but the park it's in is huge - Point Defiance Park. It has a beach (Owen Beach) on the Sound, an aquarium, a zoo, an arboretum, and miles of hiking trails in lovely wildwoods. If you're ever in Tacoma, I'd recommend stopping there.

Padding is such a good idea...I think I'll look into making one. I was going to ask how you did it.
