Going to Renfrew is going to be so hard on my body...dairy and cooked and all that. they "can't" accomodate even cooked vegan...blech. There is no way I could eat cheese or butter or milk...I don't care if its skim or whole or whatever. It makes me feel sick. great. I am not looking forward to this, especially after 4 or 5 months raw...
So is official you're going to Renfew? I really feel for you. If you are don't be surprised if you get sick from the toxic substances entering your body. Do they not realize that once you're home again you'll go back raw? Calling you! Please don't be nervous. I don't bite, at least not through the phone ;)
Congratulations!!! I think it would be so great to hear about all the things that you think have changed since you've gone raw! Do you have before/after pics to see if your skin is glowing?
Even though I think going in smaller steps is definitely the way to go, I'm transitioning to raw and then sticking to it for one full year, starting this January. If I don't like the way I feel after a year (but I doubt that will happen), I won't continue with it. If I feel as great as I'm expecting to feel, however, I'll add another year to my goal--and keep doing that until it's a way of life without ever looking back.
If I fail for some reason, you can encourage me to start it all again with smaller goals! :D
I know for me going baby goals one after another prevented me from getting overwhelmed and fail. I have the "all of nothing/black and white" mindset. So if i was in the midst of a cooked craving and thought "i'll have to do raw for the REST of my life!" and I would have given in to the craving. Instead I said "I just have to make it the next few hours" and then after those hours I was ok and could continue on. If for a brief moment you get that dreading feeling of "i can't make it!" then set your goals smaller and work your way up. If you have questions or want to contact me please do so :)
