So I think I want to start dating again.  Today I had an interesting conversation with a man at the Theater I worked at.  He was the bartender and during the acts we discussed his disinterest in having friends and creating social bonds.  It was interesting because he is incredibly personable and it seemed like we were creating a friendly bond of

For real.

It's not that people reject you. Not at all. People need certain things, right? You want them, I want them. When you meet someone that has them and you have what they want, sparks and all, right? Rejection should never mean that you don't meet some standard. It's like shooting for a home run when you're playing football.

Meet people, enjoy their company, have fun. Don't put pressure on yourself and don't put pressure on them. You'll enjoy it a LOT more when you can just go out for coffee/see a movie/have dinner/whatever.

When you meet someone that is looking for you, you'll know. It's crazy how it works. In the meantime, just have some fucking fun. Enjoy a few dates, even if they don't work out. The way I always look at it, even if your date doesn't work out, you've got a good story to tell your friends, and even if not that, then you have good fic fodder.

Just have fun. Life is way too short to deal with pressure. hon.

Thank you for the brutal honesty. And I actually mean that. I've been getting that type of honesty a lot lately and it's been helping me get out of my own torturous head and think a little bit more like a normal person. :)

I hope I don't seem like a raging bitch. I just hate to see awesome people feel bad for being passed over when it's not always that they're being overlooked. People just don't always mesh for various reasons, so one person feeling bad over it just sort of gets to me.
