I answered the phone yesterday to an insurance case manager for my car.  It was picked up yesterday by a towing company, arranged by us through the Porsche Dealership, to be dropped off at their service department for repairs.  The agent on the phone said that she saw (I suppose she was looking at notations on her computer screen) where

Too late now, now that they have officially totaled it :(

I'm sorry, they totaled one on us last year and we made them give us our car back too ... so we got the money from the insurance company and got to sell off the car.

I plan on doing the same, and selling as many pieces of it as I can. Boxster parts are expensive. I know, had to replace a couple of them.
