Entry for ten_squared theme of the month: Fooled you

So I sat down planning to write another sappy piece for the theme (come on, 'Fooled you' sounds like its dying for some major fluff), but I was consumed with TEH ANGST!  ( <-------- that's the warning, btw.  No fluff will be found here.) T____T I keep killing characters off in my stories nowadays.  GAH.

*twitches* Tenten, you selfless idiot! Why you gotta be so noble? *breaks down into tears* Seriously, this is a gorgeous piece. I love your writing style, especially when you're writing Tenten's train of thought. When, at the end, she's unconsciously calling for Neji because it HURTS - heart-tugging.

The little details, like how she tilts the mic away, and the descriptions, really drove home how much Tenten will sacrifice to keep Neji from knowing. You know what I kept imagining, after I read it? How Neji's going to feel when it's all over and he finds her...when he discovers she'd been fooling him through that last conversation.

Anyways, I loved how you managed to portray a completely different perspective of "Fooled You" The descriptions were awesome and overall, it was beautiful and heartwrenching.

I love this fic (not the bit that Tenten dies, obviously) :D It's very unique and very different from the usual fluffy NejiTen.

Everyone else managed to say what I wanted to, so.. This piece is just gorgeous. You wrote Tenten off as a marvelous, selfless character, and I don't think any other writer could have done it better.
