Watched the hollywood version of "Ring" and was disappointed. I wasn't scared at all the entire time, not like with the original film (2nd in the trilogy). The special effects/makeup seemed to detract from the gritty feel of the film and the pacing was a bit dragging for someone who'd seen the orig.
