Disclaimer: I'm inclined to suggest that this isn't happening, never happened, and will never happen. For if it did heads would explode and baby caterpillars would never get their wings.
Warnings: Angst like whoa
Notes: As always, rating most likely to change further into the fic.
Beta: Read and beta'd by the wonderful lycaness. You guys have her to thank for the lack of a lot of mistakes. However I did write on more of it after she sent it back, so the mistakes are either mine, or if you want you can blame Kira, I always do.
Summary: After a fight, Jensen and Jared split. Jensen begins to realize that maybe Jared was right, and tries to fix the mistakes of the past. Will it be too late to save their relationship?

The next morning, Jensen’s pacing the floor and there’s still no sign of Jared. Pulling out his cell, he strolls through the numbers, never having put Jared on his speed dial, instead having friends and acquaintances on it, and stares of Jared’s number. With only minimal hesitation, he presses send, and listens to it ring once, before it goes to voicemail. When he tries again, it goes directly to voicemail, letting Jensen know that Jared is just ignoring his call.

Sighing, he presses end, and instead presses down and holds the number 4 until the call connects. “Mike,” Jensen quickly says when the bald man picks up, “Tell me you know where Jared is.”

“I know where Jared is,” he replies, finally feeling like he’s between his two friends, like he knew he would since he first heard about the fight.

“Okay…” Jensen sighs, feeling the headache from yesterday trying to come back, “Mind telling me where?”

“I can’t,” Mike sadly answers, “I promised him I wouldn’t.”

Jensen deflates, “Can you at least tell him I need to talk to him?”

“Yeah, I can do that,” Mike assures him, “I’ll do that as soon as we hang up.”

“His phone is turned off,” Jensen informs his friend.

“I can still get a hold of him,” Mike replies, feeling like he’s stepping on Jensen’s heart because he can reach Jared when Jensen can’t.

“Call me back?” Jensen asks.

“Yeah, man. I’ll call you back if he won’t,” Mike tells him, hoping that it’ll be Jared that calls him. With goodbyes, Jensen let’s his phone click shut.

Jared answers his sister’s phone on the second ring, “Hello?”

“Jay,” Mike says unhappily, “Jensen called me.”

“What’d he want?” Jared asks; the question half filled with anger and half filled with sorrow.

“Just to talk to you,” Mike tells him.

“Mike, I don’t want to talk to him,” Jared quickly replies.

“I told him I’ll call him back, is that all you want to tell him?” Mike questions, only wanting to help his two close friends.

“Just tell him to box my stuff up, I’ll have Chad pick it up,” he answers, he had been thinking about it since he first got on the plane a couple days before, “I’ll stay with Chad, since he already has Roxy.”

“I’ll tell him. Take care of yourself,” Mike replies before he hangs up.

Mike stares at his phone, feeling he’s playing devils advocate and not really wanting to make the call. Slowly, he let’s out the breath he’s been holding and places the call to Jensen.

“Yeah?” Jensen answers hurriedly and worried.

“Man, you’re not going to like it,” Mike informs him.

“Mike, just tell me,” Jensen tells him, pacing around the living room.

“He wants you to pack his things, he said he’ll have Chad pick them up,” he breaks the news to Jensen.

Jensen hears the final blow that ends his relationship, and shockingly, sinks down into the couch, staring at the wall that used to hold the pictures of Jared and his life. After a few moments of pause, “I assume he’s keeping Roxy?” he asks.

“Far as I know,” Mike replies.

“Then tell him I’ll leave, this is Roxy and Jared’s home. I haven’t lived here for too long anyways,” he says sounding destroyed. “Bye Mike,” without waiting for a response, he shuts his phone, stands up and begins packing the things he’ll need.

Jared’s walking around his sister’s house, looking like he’s just been kicked. He got the call from Mike a couple hours before, telling him that Jensen said he’ll leave, and it hurts more than Jared thought possible. “Jay?” a voice calls out, breaking him away from the news.

“Yeah?” he answers, walking into his sister’s room, “Need something?”

She holds out her arms as an invitation, and Jared slips down to the bed, wrapping his arms around his sister, but being careful of the cast on her leg, “What happened Jay?” she asks softly.

“I might have broke up with Jensen,” he answers, his voice filled with sorrow, not like the happy Jared that Megan grew up with.

“Oh Jay,” she replies, wrapping her arms tighter around her older brother, “what happened?” she asks, pulling one arm from her bear hug and sitting up a bit to run her fingers through her brother’s hair, knowing it used to calm him down.

“I don’t know,” he tells her, feeling the tears of the past week come back with a vengeance. “It’s like I became the old toy a kid gets tired of,” he whispers, his voice filled with tears, and for a change he’s not caring that he’s crying.

“He cheated on you?” she questions, heat in her voice at the thought of someone doing that to the nicest person in her life.

“No!” he says quickly before dropping his voice once more, “he just kept canceling on me, going back to work, sleeping at the studio, and I rarely saw him. Our anniversary was ten days ago,” he breathes deeply, trying to make his way through the truth, “he didn’t want to spend it with me, he said he needed to set things up for a shoot he has next month.” He reaches up and wipes the tears away, “Am I that horrible, that my boyfriend doesn’t want to even spend time with me, even when it’s the day we first started dating?”

“God, no, Jared. You’re the greatest person I know. I’ve always been amazed by how caring and thoughtful you remained after moving to California,” she quickly assures him, thinking carefully of her next words, “Maybe, he just forgot, I’m sure he didn’t do it on purpose.”

Jared let’s out a bitter laugh, “We fought about it,” Jared informs his sister, “and after an hour, he was still dead set on leaving, so I told him if he left not to come back. I can’t keep coming in second to everything, Meg, I just can’t.”

“That’s your decision to make, Jay. I’d have done the same thing, and I’m so sorry that Jensen treated you like that. You deserve to be showed how much you mean to everyone,” she tells him, feeling her own tears slip quickly down her cheeks at the thought that someone could be so cold to her big brother who has always been there for her, “I love you big brother,” she sighs into his shoulder, after sinking back down into the bed.

“Love you too, Meg,” Jared replies quietly.

Sorry I haven't replied to comments on the first part. I'm kinda sick at the moment, but I'll be replying as soon as I feel a little better and can sit at my computer. Thanks for reading. :0)
