Actually, my dad is my tutor, but I study at the library since my parents are divorced and I live with my mom -everyone I know thinks it's weird, including myself... O_O

I see I see, nah its not weird, they are after all your parents even if they are divorced. And its quite cool your dad is your tutor as he will make it the best for you to learn and you get to meet him more as well since you are living with your mum. =DDD

I took French for two years in middle school (only one marking period each, though) and all four years in high school ^_^ it got HARD, though, senior year. They didn't offer college prep, only AP. I even had the same teacher for three years in high school and she went from piece of cake to serious business in an instant D: I remember grammar and SOME words, but forget a lot of it. Grammar usually comes easily to me, before other parts of a language.

Really? I pick up grammar easiest too! It's all the nuances and stuff that I have trouble with... I'm always over-analyzing my own sentances because of them grrrr... I'm studying for the DELF [French equivalent of the TOEFL] now, even if I might just take the AP; still, it is tough stuff, no kidding.

Grammar rules are usually concrete, so I feel like all you need to do is memorize them.

Japanese I find more difficult, because even though there are concrete rules, those damn particles get me the most confused. I think it's just because there are so many of them to remember x_x I'll get it eventually! :p

So true! Japanese is difficult! The meanings associated with the particles can change too... it's mind-bending :o
Thankfully, my mom's Korean so I kind of have a leg up on the language and the particle system, since they're very similar. I would probably be lost if I didn't... ;) My memory is just fail though haha
