You ever get the feeling that you're on trial? That there're just these certain situations that seem like you're being closely and meticulously examined, so you nervously just sort of attempt to act natural, when you know that it's probably just the most unnatural you've been in a while?
But no, I haven't been pretending.

you know, i can imagine you living in the twenties. i really can.
and c'mon man, you "need to take a break from writing so many songs?" no. no. there can never be too many songs in the world. have you ever done FAWM (February Album Writing Month)? i did it last year and had a blast. you're supposed to write 14 songs in 28 days (i did 28 in 28, just to challenge myself), and post either just the lyrics or the lyrics and a recording on the site. if you want to check it out, go to the official site (http://www.fawm.org) or the off-season community site (http://www.fawmers.com). i warn you, though, it's addictive! and the people are awesome, too.

The twenties? With all of these tattoos, piercings, and different ethnicities that I've got? I'd be stoned. I mean in a Town Square or something with rocks, not hiding out in the woods with some pot.
And yeah, the song thing's 'coz whenever I write these days, I'm writing material for the band, but we rarely get the chance/rarely ever get around to rehearsing new material. As a result I've got almost ten songs that're completely done and written that I've meant to introduce to Chris and work on, and that's a lot of material for just one guy to have to himself.
'Coz really, if I've got a choice to have a song meant only for a vocal line and a solo acoustic guitar, or a song with distorted electric guitar, and drums, that we're able to actually perform as a group, the choice is pretty obvious.
