Those look like rainbow lorikeets. You get rainbow lorikeets as garden visitors? *jealous* I can only see them in captivity. I got to feed some at Auckland Zoo. The most colourful garden birds we get are bluetits and robins.

They are lorikeets, yes, and yes, we do get them in our gardens. They take great delight in flying past at high speed about three inches above my head in large groups.

When I was in Britain last year, I was delighted to see a squirrel. I'll swap a lorikeet for a suirrel!

Yeah, we get pigeons who do that. Or fly up in our faces. Usually solo, though. Not fun.

As long as it's a red squirrel. You don't want the grey squirrels. They will kill your trees!
