Oh my, too much time on our hands. That older scope reminds me of the old DuMont "cathode ray oscillograph" that I have.
I fired up my old Tek' scope this week to check the output of one of my amplifiers. It takes a good hour of warmup before it starts working well. I wish I knew how to tune it up. Next time you're in Wichita, I'll show you what's under the hood of that thing.
Our new house, which we close on the 30th, has an awesome electronics lab above the garage. I'm excited to get all my equipment up there, and finally have a place for my technical library, etc...
