Sure, people say that nobody is perfect. but some people appear to be closer than others. and even if deep down they aren't perfect (because the sheer amount of work required to keep perfection static and unflawed is overwhelming, like trying to keep painted nails unchipped for months), the image they project is so polished and so professional that ( Read more... )

well, "dried", this is all good and you articulate yourself so well here...however what is 'sane' anyway? Some people are alcoholics, others lust for hoards of money and power, others want the perfect body. Different things for different people, maybe.

And when you achieve perfection like get down to 90 pounds it still requires an amount of work to stay there, huh? I'm not sure about total happiness/equalibrium once you are a certain number/have a certain image. I just know that losing weight (and thus in my eyes looking better) makes me more confident and out-there, so that's the price I have to pay. Somehow I know that even though it all requires a LOT of work to be beautiful, smart and successful...all of this has some sort of beauty to it.

I know. I wrote the entry to express the sort of intuitive deception I secretly believe in. reason confirms what you say, but the inner voice that chides me for eating is also the voice that makes me coverty believe what I wrote.
and yes, 'sane' was meant in sarcasm...

don't worry, just shoot for 500 and don't settle for less and you'll be fine. you'd lose even if you did 800. the problem is, the higher you 'allow' yourself to go, the higher the binges are. if you say you'll eat 800, eating 1300 doens't seem so bad. but if you set it at 500, 800 is already a binge. objectively, 800 is still a very very low number, so you'll lose. it's all about psychological self-deception. and as long as you're satisfied with the amount of effort you put into it, you'll do great. don't give up mentally or you will physically, too. good luck, we'll keep each other on track!
