Hey guys, it's been a while since I last updated. I recently just got back from a road trip with a friend. Originally, we had decided to stay in Chicago for 5 days. The second night we got there we met some of the friendly locals. They approached us from either side with knives to compensate for their lack of intellect and teeth. They kindly asked ( Read more... )

Just count the days of college enrollment before your fantasy of a shot of sperm is realized in a drunken, midnight haze. Granted, you won't remember this, but if it shows up on some Canadian TV (Vermont's practically Canada as far as I'm concerned), I'm securing rights to the footage in one way or another.

Can't you drink at 18 up North?

Yeah, you can do pretty much anything up there once you reach 18.

What schools are you looking at, Nick?

I'm at that stage where I'm only looking at the schools I a.) won't get into or b.) sound good on paper and through campus visits, but I probably won't end up going there.

So far, I'm banking on Boston College (primarily because I'm Irish, socially awkward, and like seafood... so I should fit right in, if I do end up there), Wake Forest in North Carolina, and UNC-Chapel Hill as my biggest "reach" schools. As it stands right now, I only have one sure-to-get-into-school, and that'd be University of Miami.

I'm really bad at this thing, though. I keep thinking of it in terms of where I want to live for four years more than where I want to learn.

Where else did you look?

I know a lot of kids going to BC and it's very Junior Executive Cock-Sucker, as I like to put it. Snobby yuppies. Other than that, Boston is a really neat city. You should look into Boston University. Wake Forest is really nice, the essay is the only thing that you need to get in since all the kids have the same gpa and SAT scores. I don't know much about Miami or UNC.

The schools I applied to were Duke (weight listed, then accepted), Williams (rejected), Brown (accepted), and Colgate (accepted).

In the end I chose Champlain since A)It's free B)Burlington kicks ass C)Montreal 18 to drink and D)Just the feel of the campus and the classes.

My advice is to visit as many schools as you can because you'll know exactly where to go once you step foot on campus. It's a feeling you get.

Look into Stanford (not much to say), Pepperdine (gorgeous), Smith (interesting courses), Williams (fascinating professors) and Loyola (hot girls, nice dorms).

Feel free to IM me if you have other questions.

I leave for college on Sunday and I haven't really packed much at all, which sucks. Other than that my life is pretty boring, unless you like horses in which case my life is relatively exciting. I think that's it. I went through and read some of your other entries and they were pretty entertaining. Just so you know.
