There's the crappy half, that is certain. There are the moments when she's crying and I moan a little because that certain cry over the monitor means I have to drag myself out of my nice mattress with a box spring into her room. In her room, I have to lay with her on a narrow single thin foam mattress on the floor and hold her while she settles ( Read more... )

Well, it's winter, we all need something warm right about now:) I know I could use a warm-up!

I can write sentences but, so far, I have yet to find that...deep heart that unfolds so beautifully in your writing. You have a true gift, I am more of a dabbler:) Thanks for sharing your writing with all of us!

Thanks. Yours this week blew this little entry of mine out of the water.

You REALLY know how to weave your words and make the screen sing.

This is more a plain "this is my life" entry but I'm glad you like it:)

This is lovely! I'm sure the happy half of parenting outshines the not so fun parts! Hugs!

Most days it does:)

But I respect that some people make the choice to be child-free like you did. You get to enjoy parts of life I can't manage right now.

I don't think there is only one way for everyone.

You are a great mom to your dogs and I enjoy reading of your life. You have experiences and stories that I will never know except I get to read yours:) I envy your traveling especially. Thanks for sharing your life with me through your journal:)

Hugs. Everyone has choices and no one's are better than the others. I just knew that I was not fit for being a parent. It's just not me. But I totally respect those who have children! Just as you enjoy hearing about my life, I enjoy hearing about yours. Differences are what make good friendships!

I hope so. I do fail in so many areas, but I love them a lot and I am trying.

Going to college and being a mom really gives me split purposes but I have do this to help support them so I hope I can still be a good mom and go to class and study and write papers and all the little mom things, fold clothes, do dishes, give kisses.

Thank for being so faithful to comment!:)

They seem fairly well adjusted and happy kids, from what I see here, and that generally means that mom and / or dad are doing a good job.

I try to let people know that I'm reading, it's hard to keep posting if you feel that nobody is out there. Plus, you're fun to read and always interesting. :)

My son has some issues but he just got an IEP at school so hopefully that will help some.

They are not always happy ("because you're so mean, mom") but I do think kids need SOME limits. Of course, the lines are redrawn as they grow and I try to make sure what I stress are the important things.

Thanks for your kind words:) They made my day..and I needed that:)
