I am the worst child my mother ever birthed (and that's saying something because there are seven of us.) But seriously, if my parents knew some of the things I did when I was growing up, they'd probably try to get custody of my own children, just to keep them safe from a corrupting influence like me ( Read more... )

Thanks so much for your kind words! I did wonder how this would turn out, with no clear topic.

God, you SINNER! How dare you. =P

I want to squish you up and hug you tight, the you of that age. I'd also like to kick both your parents in the shin, but... you know, that's kind of mean, so feel free to ignore that part. =D

Honestly, I could have used a few more hugs. Thanks for your kind words. Where were you 16 years ago?:)

Ah well. Somehow most of us manage to grow up!

And here I thought this was going to be about vandalism or smokin' or drinkin'. But about "ST:TNG?" I'm absolutely gobsmacked that that could be viewed as immoral by anyone. Heck, the whole show is about morality. This is what comes of parents not watching something before they condemn it.

Even just outfits are enough for my mother not to like a show. Have you seen "The Blind Side"? I saw it this weekend. My mom actually had seen it too and she went on and on about how immoral Mrs. Tuohy's clothes were.

She always seems to miss the forrest for the trees...

I hope you weren't left feeling disappointed at my tame little sins? I thought my approach might be rather amusing...?:)

Oh, don't get me wrong, I loved your entry and sin is sin, no matter how small! I was just stunned that anyone would think "ST:TNG" was immoral. Your "Blind Side" comment certainly puts it in perspective, though!

Very well written! I had a very different childhood- my parents were still children while we were growing up and not strict at all. They actually loved st:tng, and we watched it together as a family. I never would have thought then that anyone found the show so offensive.
