Coming Down Before Carraba's: The Place I Can Never Be

Feb 14, 2010 19:49

The crimson blood always seems to mock me. Nausea rose in my throat as I remembered each time I was left with only stains of blood, clear reminders of the emptiness of dreams. Each time I cursed this broken body incapable, it seemed, of giving, only skilled in letting go. Sometimes I wish I could let go of this part of me, this place inside that ( Read more... )

drippedonpaper is an AWESOME partner. And she gives me WAY too much credit. This story was her idea... I simply jumped on her coattails and rode along! The drafts of her piece she sent me were awesome to begin with and I really didn't do much in the way of editing at all. She really did help me smooth my piece out though and helped make it a lot better. So I'm very, very, very thankful to her. She's an awesome writer, a fantastic partner and an amazing person in general!!! :-)

Actually, a lot of the elements of the story were your idea:)

The pregnancy part (which a lot of people seem to like)

The details on the plane crash. The careers of the characters.

You really helped me draw my part of the story together and give it focus:)

Thanks for agreeing to partner with me! Even though we didn't have to (apparently), I am still glad we did:)

Well then, let's just agree that it was a great team effort. We both had a lot of great input! You helped me and I helped you and combined we did a pretty good job. Deal? :-)

I'm very, very glad we got to partner together... despite the fact that we didn't need to. lol... :-)

I was SO hoping this story would not end the way I feared it would. :(
Both of you did a great job!!! I really like how you convey her sense of apathy towards the test, then the shock at the unexpected result. Wonderfully written!

Trying to conceive is hard. To continue trying (I found) you almost have to have apathy...it's hard to keep hoping so much and being so disappointed.

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for your kind words!:)
