Oh, man... one of my kids was the absolute WORST at getting up, it was an absolute nightmare. Still is, in some ways. I bought the alarm clock that runs away for my oldest, who is 23, when he started his first professional job this past January. He says it is very annoyed but helps, with his two other alarms. That last tweet made me snort - so very true!

I've always been a morning person. I feel for you, though. I've had roommates who didn't bear speaking to until they had been awake for at least an hour.

LOL at the tweet at the end.

I found much of this very relatable. Your comment about it starting at 11 had me going, "Oh shit, oh no, this is why my 11yo is starting to not get up immediately when I wake him up any more, even after he's seen how frustrated I get with his sister not getting up."

I got so frustrated one day that I just let my 15yo daughter sleep through the whole day instead of making her go to school. She sleeps through all of her alarms too. And it used to be that she wanted to be up at 6:30am, before I even get up!

I didn't have the same early moving-out-of-the-crib issues. The related issue I recall was my now-11yo not wanting to nap any more, so he'd just not stay in bed when I wanted him to nap. But maybe that's why I didn't get the 5am wake-ups!
