People tend to take one look at me and write me off as stupid. However, I usually let them. Art of War type strategy. I'll never forget the look on my co-worker's faces when they found out I not only wasn't fresh out of High School, I had a Bachelors Degree and almost a masters.
Especially the English Teachers. I'll never forget when Mr. Fallows was having me sub his class for a half hour and I was to teach this Romeo and Juliet scene in the class. He literally explained the whole thing to me as if I'd never read or seen of this play before. (I mean, seriously. It's Romeo and Juliet.)
It's why I like teaching Special Education. I have to know all the curriculum for every grade 9-12 for every subject on campus. Plus - how every teacher on campus teaches that material so I can re-teach in my resource class.
I dare all those single subject teachers to be able to do that.
