I just wanted to take a moment to mourn the closing of Albion/Batcave. I know this is something we all saw coming. With the loss of Saturday night and then the age 18-20 crowd, the numbers have been dwindling. It still makes me really sad. I have met many fabulous people there, some of whom have become an important part of my life. I will miss it.

I'm very sorry to hear that. Although I never had a chance to go myself, Aly has told me many stories of the greatness that was Albion. We kept talking about how we'd have to go, just so I could enjoy it, but it is too late now. Truly, my loss.

There is a night that I work called Contempt that is actually super awesome. It is usually only held the third Saturday of the month though :-(

Oh no! Is this Batcave in NYC? Oh man...that was the last really decent club I went to. Granted, this was December of 2001...but....pout.

It is indeed. There are still a couple of good nights, but sadly they are monthly. All of the good places do seem to be shutting down, though. Albion (formerly Batcave) was really the only one of its scale in NYC. The old Limelight is being turned into a shopping center. New York nightlife is truly dying...

Feh! That's ridiculous. I don't know why that should be. Other than, you probably mentioned already, a change in age demographics in the area.

*pout redux*
