I don't understand it, but I like it
I don't really 'understand' Indian food. I can't readily pick out spices, or even cooking method used to make it. I don't know what goes into the mint sauce that makes it taste like it does. I do know I like it. Specifically, I liked the India House Restaurant and Bar. I got the chicken tandor. GK got the chicken tikka. Both were very good ( Read more... ) -
Little pucks of crumbley goodness
My wife made biscuits tonight. Biscuits for Engineers. Damn, were they good, too.
We had them with some left over awesome turkey and gravy, too. I felt like a refined southern gentleman. I'm now just waiting for someone to IM me with a question about gritz. -

You know what's funny? I need my ears to work to drive correctly. My left ear is all clogged up, and I drove to the supermarket today. Apparently, I was having trouble turning left. This amuses me greatly. -
He can't see another woman
There's a reason I don't watch the news. It'll make you stupid. It was on this morning (not me). They were talking about the news story of Paterson having an affair. They said, without irony, "Blind Governor Admits to Seeing Another Woman." -

Whew! We're in our new apartment in MN, and all our stuff in out of the truck. Contact info will be updated on my facebook soon. For now, we're taking the evening off. -
I eat food
In exchange for our comically oversized air conditioner unit, the Heirophant took us out to dinner at Primo Vino. Man, does that place do a good [meat] parmigiana. Fortunately, that is as far as we are willing to pursue this trend.
