I just got back from Jason and Rainie's where we watched American Wedding and although it wasn't as torturous as its predecessors, it still managed to piss me off. At least this time, it's not necessarily b/c it wasn't funny (it actually had its moments), but b/c it put forth a concept that just pisses me off in general. What is with this

Touche'. Having a s.o. is not life its a part of life. Idealism belongs in movies not in day to day life. Movies are fantasy and thinking any one person can complete you spiritually or intellectually is an abstract notion. Anyone who looks for the perfect relationship or the perfect person to complete them and then proceeds to fool themselves into believing that this is "it" will be disillusioned at best. That said, I think there are people who are better because of their s.o., simply because when you love and care about someone you are less self centered and more likely to be open minded out of respect for their opinion.
