So recently I've been doing some thinking (some might argue TOO much thinking) about my life and what I want from it. If I had to pick the happiest period of my life I would have to go with the past 6 months in England. Since I'm going to be a senior in college, I've been thinking a lot about what I'm going to do after college (what kind of life ( Read more... )

Hmmm...this posted on the wrong day and now I can't make any additional posts until that day has past. Does that make sense to anyone else? Why am I so computerly challenged?

I think this was incredibly insightful (so did John when he read a part of it over my shoulder, #5 specifically). I could write a lot about what you said, but it would take forever to type and I'm on vacation (hence, my even writing this is a testament to how important I think it is). The fact that you are concerned with the things you're concerned with, and able to be so honest with yourself about what you should be and what you are is fantastic. I'm so glad I'll be seeing you again soon so we can talk about this sort of stuff in person! Let me know when you'll be back in Saint Louis!

P.S. I also did the mile in 19 minutes in 6th grade. And though I wasn't *the* fat kid, I definitely was one of the fat kids. It sucked. Some people walked the mile faster than I ran it. Come to think of it, at that time I probably could have probably walked it faster than I ran it. This is why I switched to dance when I changed schools in 7th grade - no mile! LOL.

1. I also used to run a 20-minute mile... That's if I even made it! It was all part of some physical fitness test thing by the U.S. Government. If you did good you'd get some kind of certificate. I of course never got one!

2. I have, on occasion eaten a Double Whopper for lunch, dinner, and midnight snack.

3. My "everyone's my friend" approach is crumbling.

4. I spend 12 hours a day alone, staring into a computer screen. Not nearly as healthy as going on walks by yourself. You definitely have me beat there!

5. I always get stuck in the past.

6. I have two professors as parents... I definitely feel you there!

I'm glad I found your LiveJournal. It's good reading!
