When I was an undergrad, I did radio. I was pretty good at it, actually. I had a good on air voice. The radio station was loosely formatted and mostly the bunch of us running the place goofing off. My second year of college we got a new advisor who actually took an interest in what we were doing and wanted to, like, run an ACTUAL radio station

It was a day for freak accidents in eventing and racing again today. A gallant turf mare, Nashoba's Key, kicked the back of her stall today, shattered her hock, and had to be euthanized. She was only 5. Horses do the damnedest things to hurt themselves.

God. So true. Even our not world-caliber horse friends. Days like this I shudder to think of the responsibility of owning one.
