Good quarterlife crisis dream...
I was shopping in a store that specialized in selling unknown products - that is they have shelf after shelf of plain brown boxes for customers to choose from, but neither the store staff or the customer would know what the product was when they bought it. Well, things are moving quickly with the internship. This afternoon they sent me an email asking to schedule a phone interview for next Monday or Wednesday. Now I'm really nervous. I just applied to the Greenbelt Alliance. They are a bay area non-profit that works to protect open space by protesting suburban sprawl and encouraging building denser city cores. They have four different internship positions that I am interested in, all related to working with computerized maps. They encourage people to apply to as many ( Read more... ) -
Grant writing...?
I went to the green team meeting tonight, it was an informal thing over drinks in a little retaurant south of market. I was pretty nervous, because I didn't know what to expect, but I think this will work out well. Ridiculously out of shape...
I finally have one of the bikes all fixed up, and although I have tried riding it in the apartment garage - I just got a new helmet that fits me head (extra large bike helmets are hard to find at a good price!) - this was the first time I took it out on the street. Unicyclists. Yes, unicyclists. It is now two times in as many weeks, and two times more than ever before, that I have been privilaged to see what I would have previously assumed to be a rare sight - unicyclists wheeling down the busy streets of San Francisco.
