It's all in my head...

Today is an unexpected yet important day off from school. Monday morning I woke up with severe dizziness, to the point I could barely make it to the bathroom. So today I went to the doctor, during which any body problems were ruled out. That leaves a CAT scan in a few days to see if it's an inner ear problem or something worse, or if it's the ( Read more... )

oh no!!! i am sure it's just something silly and small. i hope you have good insurance for the testing. BEST OF LUCK getting this checked out and finding a simple cause.

amazing job w the teaching- if word from students is that you're good, you're totally golden. kids are certainly the harshest critics... and the people whose opinions matter the most!

sorry i couldn't see you while in town this weekend, it was very brief and hurried.

I was hoping for a call, but figured you were busy enough! It's always tough to see people when all you have is a weekend, so I won't hold a grudge. :D

I should be getting a CAT scan real soon, so hopefully it's just an ear thing and not something worse! Thanks for the words of encouragement. :D

yikes, hope it's nothing serious! i'm sure it's just stress-related; i feel like all that's been wrong with me lately is due to that so it's easy to imagine that's the case with you as well.

congrats though on how well it's going in your classroom. you're going to be a great teacher!

Ya, I'm hoping it's stress, but then I'm hoping it's not. Especially since I've always handled stress well. Actually, you could say I'm happier when I have stress. At least if it's something physical I can fix it, usually.

If you're having similar issues, get it checked out! It could be your blood pressure.

Eek! No, not you too! My fellow student teaching friend in Ann Arbor has the same problem, but she's had it for over a year. It's a recurring thing. Unfortunately, no one has been able to figure out what the heck it is. But I've heard that this kind of thing could be viral, and long-term, and nothing can be done but to let your body get over it. Takes a year or two. Yes, I'm serious. It's episodic though, if it's the same thing these people have had. I hope that's not it! Scary ( ... )

I agree, it's easier to just make your own lessons than mimmick theirs. I'm back to doing that, which is weird because I've been the teacher just as much, if not more than, Mr. G. I just make daily lesson plans as usual, then add notes for things that I think he does better or that I missed.

I sure hope this is a fixable problem! I am prepared for the worst, though, and that they can't find anything and I just have to deal with it. My doc is great though, and is trying everything to find the problem.
