I have heard this before, actually... I think it was one of the Kent Hovind seminars. Apricot seeds, specifically.
I don't know if I buy the whole conspiracy theory thing, I just think that people tend to choose to believe in "modern medicine", and write off such things as urban myth or "momma's recipes". Got to love the media.
Heard about the Hannah thing, that sucks for yall.
I recognize the apricot seed thing, but maybe only the cyanide part. But have you ever tried to open one? With a knife? Without cutting yourself to an unpleasant depth? I sure hope this is the cure for cancer, God knows there are enough causes.

I opened one with a hammer. Make sure the seed isn't slippery!

You didn't squish it when you whacked it?

No, I actually wrapped it in a paper towel and tapped it lightly with a hammer until it cracked.
