Good Lord, she was terrible! She was Ed-Norton-in-The-Incredible-Hulk bad. Kim Dickens was OK in Gone Girl and House of Cards but she was laughably incompetent at expressing basic emotions in Fear the Walking Dead. This whole article is speaking out of my soul. I hated her performance so much and threw me out of the immersion every single time. It's really bad because she's present in most of the scenes, too. I don't know if there was a casting for the role of Madison but it seems there wasn't or otherwise they would never have allowed her to play that part. It's not just her face but also her voice never really changes much. We never hear a shriek, some kind of nuance to the way she's talking in a special situation just... one or two variations of an organ that can make oh so many wonderful and expressive sounds.

I think she just couldn't. Too much botox I presume. There's no excuse for the voice though.

She just reads her parts with no expression, she doesn't know how to properly say her lines, and her voice is irritating, honestly, also who wakes up and immediately asks where did a certain someone go without looking around first, is she like a robot programmed to wake up and immediately have full understanding of all her surroundings? Jesus i can't believe she was accepted in the show

She SUCKS- and the show itself compared to the walking dead. Boring! Last night I watched that kid in the pink shirt - the entire episode- music and him walking through Mexico. I had to fast forward to keep from turning off! (I had surgery- binge watching to recover and she’s more painful than that!) ha

The walking dead - at least is exciting, interesting and captured my attention. A little brutal but seems to have a story!

Kim - all she does is stare into distance with a nasty look or maybe vacant - I certainly hope she’s not a Weinstein victim. - he’s a pig and should go to jail- NO DISRESPECT INTENDED- to her personally! horrible acting- she should be killed/eaten off the show- it’s no wonder they’re bringing Morgan onto the show - maybe to save it from being cancelled!

I stopped watching “Fear The Walking Dead” because of her. Her character was terrible made worse by her acting. When my brother told me she had died, I thought I’ll give the show another shot. I tried watching that last episode, but I couldn’t stomach her acting. Her last scene was laughable. I never thought she could act, but she’s gotten worse. Thank god they wrote her out if the show. Good radiance!

Worst series actress I've seen so far.
She doesn't seem to care about the situations or the scenes being shot.
The few emotions she acts are awfully fake.
I don't know what she's doing here and sometimes, it looks like she doesn't either.
She's a fraud!

I stopped watching Fear the Walking Dead after the first season. I could not stand Kim Dickens. She is the worst actress in the business. Why they kept her on is a complete mystery. She has no range at all.

Yes! I actually googled this topic because I thought maybe it’s just me. This thread is so validating! I’m trying to like this show...rather late to the game...but she is AWFUL!
