I am writing to request that your legal team consider clarifying part of the terms of service for the Verizon FiOS internet service. I recently read through the paperwork because I am a new customer, and I noticed some of the language is too broad.
The following part of section 4.3, Restrictions on Use: "You also may not ... use the Service to host any type of server" is unclear. All devices connected to the internet function variously as both server and client. Put the Rovio and secure shell server examples here, explaining in clear terms what they are and what they do. Lawyers aren't techies, so keep the language simple.

[End the letter with a line or two explaining that you understand that they want to avoid a commercial server on a residential line, but that the language can be clarified to avoid that and allow residential users to do some simple things on the Internet, ie Rovio."I am ( ... )
